So I wanted to start this blog in hopes of encouraging others to set aside quality family time. We are all so busy these days with our jobs, kids sports, piano lessons, dance class, & of course our technology.... Some of my best memories from my childhood is time that I spent with my family.
We would go camping & my sister & I would go exploring. We took off into the forest to find a tree that made a neat little seat, or pick flowers for my mom to put in our camper. And of course we would search out the BEST weiner roasting stick to bring back to dad, to sharpen for us.
Mom also took time to walk us to school. She would quiz me on my times tables & talk to us about our friends & teachers at school.
She also had tea parties with us, took us to the park for a picnic, made really cool cakes with gummy bears, made home made doll clothes that matched my outfit. She even made us Cabbage Patch dolls. And she took the time to make hundreds of mini pancakes when I had a sleepover.
Everyone says that our kids grow up so fast, it's important to spend time with them so we can learn who they are, what they like & to pass on our knowledge & show them that we love them.
Nothing demonstrates our love more than quality time spent doing things they love. Even if that means listening to them play that song on the piano for the hundreth time.
If we lost everything, but still have family, it will always turn out ok in the end.
So I hope that some of the crafts, time & money saving ideas or outtings I post will give you ideas for quality family time.
Thanks for stopping by
